"Parents bring their children to school to learn. If the parents believe in you, the experience can be enjoyable for both student and teacher." - Katherine Hsieh
Parent Involvement
COMMUNICATION is very important for students, parents, and the teacher . I plan to send home a weekly newsletter to keep the parents informed.
In addition to this, I also plan to send home notes about students' positive behavior or success in school for two main reasons. First, I want the parents to understand that their children are enjoying and learning from school effectively when they do. It is important for parents to feel comfortable when they get phone calls from me.
Also, I think a survey from each parent is also important. This is a one-to-one communication that could create a positive parent-teacher relationship.
