About Me

I am curious. I love to learn, observe, listen, think, and try new things. I challenge myself. I come up with ideas for students. I value and love creativity, curiosity, authenticity, and differences in people.

I am originally from Taiwan. I was born in L.A., U.S. and was raised in Taiwan until I was 13. My family and I immigrated to the U.S. I went to Okemos High School and graduated in 2009 and went to Michigan State University (MSU) majoring in elementary education. I completed my undergraduate degree in 2013 and complete a year of teacher internship via MSU's internship program at Fairview Elementary School. In Fall of 2016, I finished my master's program in Educational Technology with a Certification in Serious Game Design and Research.

Throughout high school and college I have volunteered and taught in local heritage Chinese Schools on the weekends both in Lansing Chinese School and in Ann Arbor Chinese Center of Michigan. Those weekend experiences started my interested in going into teaching, which had lead me to my career today and potential interest in the educational technology field in the future.

Throughout college, I have lots of part time jobs on top of going to school as a full time student. I have been cashier at restaurants, writing consultant at the MSU Writing Center, family restaurant (AnQi Suhi Express) manager, and Chinese teacher at two different heritage Chinese Schools. I have also held a club leadership position at the Chinese Undergraduate Student Association (CUSA) at MSU.

I just like to shoot baskets when I get a chance. I want to be able to live in a neighborhood that is close to open basketball court in the future.

I have always liked to take photos, but never really had the chance to do it enough as a hobby. Just started a bit on Holiday trip this summer. Loving it.

I love to watch movies. It gives a different perspective on viewing and experiencing things. I sometimes pay attention on shooting angles and lighting from a designer's view.

When I have a lot of spare time, I like to create, explore new idea, and practice my handcraft skills. I have extended this hobby to branding AnQi Sushi Express.
